Enjoyed the festival diary? Well, you'll probably love the book...the diary entries were, as you can probably tell thanks to the odd typo, just rough scribbles, posted after each performance. But alongside that, Paul has been making extensive notes after each show. Really extensive. Proper, painfully nerdy details about this adventure, about why we feel the need to impress strangers, why some people in some parts of the country enjoy it and why others really don't. How we book and perform these shows whilst juggling a million other commitments, the joy of performing...the despair of performing. As well as being about the fringes, it's about the mindset of a solo performer and why we do this to ourselves when, let's be honest, nobody is asking us to. It gets quite deep, but hopefully you'll find enough fun in it to be amused.
It's not finished yet, but expect the book to be out sometime in mid-2027. Keep checking back here for more details.
